David, encircled on every side by wars, plots, and evil men, stood firm and declared: "The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid." For who shall be against us when God is with us? (Romans 8:31). No hellish power, no man's conspiracy, no family altar is greater than a life that has God's support. 1. THE MEANING OF "THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE" It is to say you are not alone in the fight (Exodus 14:14 – "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."). It implies that you are protected (Psalm 91:2 – "He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust."). We live in a world where wickedness exists. The Psalmist here says, “ My soul is among lions. ” There are powers that behave like lions, always ready to tear destinies, devour lives, and swallow progress. But I came to announce to you today: " every lion roaring against your destiny shall be silenced by fire!" 1. THE REALITY OF THE LIONS OF LIFE These lions represent enemies of destiny.
