Text: Psalm 118:6 – “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”
INTRODUCTION
Dear one, I came to remind you that despite the wars that encircle your life, God is on your side! David, encircled on every side by wars, plots, and evil men, stood firm and declared: "The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid."
For who shall be against us when God is with us? (Romans 8:31). No hellish power, no man's conspiracy, no family altar is greater than a life that has God's support.
1. THE MEANING OF "THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE"
It is to say you are not alone in the fight (Exodus 14:14 – "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.").
It implies that you are protected (Psalm 91:2 – "He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.").
It implies that you have a guaranteed victory (2 Chronicles 20:15 – "The battle is not yours, but God's").
2. THE IMPLICATIONS OF GOD BEING ON YOUR SIDE
Fear is gone – "I will not fear." Fear is the devil's sword by which faith is immobilized. But you know that if God is with you, fear is dead.
Man is in control – "What can man do unto me?" The worst anyone can do to a man is nothing when God is with you (Isaiah 54:17 – "No weapon formed against thee shall prosper.").
Victory is assured – The very God who was with Daniel in the lions' den, and with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the furnace, will stand by your side!
3. BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF GOD ON THE SIDE OF HIS PEOPLE
David and Goliath – The Lord stood with David and Goliath was destroyed (1 Samuel 17:45–50).
Moses and Pharaoh – God was with Moses, and parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21–28).
Daniel vs. lions – God shut the mouths of the lions (Daniel 6:22).
Paul & Silas in prison – God used an earthquake and loosed their bands (Acts 16:25–26).
4. WHAT TO DO TO MAKE GOD BE ON YOUR SIDE
1. Give yourselves fully to Him (Romans 8:31).
2. Obey in life (Deuteronomy 28:1–7).
3. Live by faith and not by fear (Hebrews 11:6).
4. Pray and offer professions (Psalm 118:17 – "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.").
PROPHETIC PRAYER POINTS
Now raise your hands and pray:
1. Oh Father Lord, thank you for being with me from birth till date.
2. O Lord, arise now and fight against all the battles oifver my destiny, in Jesus' name (Exodus 14:14).
3. Any man, woman, or official who has stood against me, Lord, humble them in Your power, in Jesus' name (Isaiah 54:17).
4. I declare: let no weapon that is formed against my health, my household, my wealth, my destiny succeed in Jesus' name!
