WHAT A GREAT GOD

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable – Psalm 145:3

It will very difficult if not impossible for anyone to comprehensively and accurately say how great our God is. Psalm 145:3 says His greatness is unsearchable, meaning that it cannot be described, fully explained or comprehended. Man can only talk about the greatness of God based on what He has seen God do. However, the Bible gives us several accounts of His greatness.

Our God is Great Enough To Create The Earth (Genesis 1:1-26) – Our God is the only Creator that is not created. He made the entire universe. By words of His mouth, He spoke into existence everything that is on the surface of the earth. That is how great He is.

Our God is Almighty – This means that He is stronger than every power and authority in the universe. He is not only stronger than them but they are all subject to Him. Our God is therefore great enough to send the entire universe on an errand. And I see heaven sending the universe on an errand to bring your promotion and miracle speedily in Jesus name. that is how great our God is.

He is Great Enough To Reverse Irreversible – Our God at several instances in the Bible proved that He can reverse situations perceived as irreversible. Does your situation seem naturally and humanly irredeemable; our God can step in and do that which no man can do by turning things around. He did it for Abraham and Sarah his wife. When they were well past the age of child bearing, He gave them a child. He can still do same for you today. He also raised Lazarus from death (John 11:1-45), which is humanly and naturally impossible.

He is Great Enough To Fight and Win Battles for His People – Our God often steps into the battles of His children and always comes out victorious. He did it for the children of Israel against Egypt before the Red Sea. He also won them victories against Jericho and other nations in the land of Canaan. He earned Himself the title of “the Mighty Man in battle.” He is still winning victories today for as many that invites and allows Him to take over the battles of their lives.

He is Great Enough To Supply The Needs of His People – In the wilderness, God provided His people with food (manna and quail) for the forty years they journeyed from Israel to Canaan. Not one day did they go without food. When His servants’ wife was confronted by lack, He provided more than enough, such that she sold some to make money (1Kings 17:10-16). In His greatness, He will provide for you if you will ask Him today.

He is Great Enough To Heal Any Disease – God has a rich antecedence of healing diseases. He healed Naaman (2 Kings 5:1-14), the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-44), the 38 years invalid by the pool (John 5:5-9) and as many that came to Him for healing (Luke 7:21).

His greatness and goodness in our lives and that of others are to cause us to always worship Him. The psalmist tells us in Psalm 150:2, that we should praise Him for His mighty acts, and according to His excellent greatness. Spend time this season and always, thanking Him for who He is. Worship is the way to put your problems in God’s capable hands, and He will cause you to experience wonders of His greatness in your life.
