GOD KNOWS YOU

When God called his name, from within the fire, Moses must have been surprised that the person in the fire knows him by name without any previous formal or informal introduction. Imagine how surprised and lost you will be when someone you do not know walks up to you and calls you by name. That must have been how Moses felt that day. Do you realize that God knows you by name? He knows everything about you. He knows even the events that have not taken place in your life. He knows the name of all the people on earth. He cannot see John and call him Philip or see Eunice and call her Stephanie. No! He knows you better than that. He knows your situation and has the solution. He knows your exact address and so will not give your blessings to your twin or next door neighbour in error. If only you can understand God to this level, then you have no reason for not trusting Him. Like He called Moses from within the Burning Bush, He is calling out to many today from the pulpits, on the street

POWER OF THE WORD

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.   Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do - Heb 4:12-13 . A story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading from his old worn-out Bible. His grandson who wanted to be just like him tried to imitate him in any way he could. One day the grandson asked, “Papa, I try to read the Bible just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible do?” The grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said, “take this coa

SOW TO YOURSELF

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” - Hosea 10:12.  “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase” - 1Cor. 3:6 . A fallow ground is a virgin uncultivated ground or one left to recover its nutrients depreciated from previous cultivations. It also represents the untapped potentials and resources in and around a person. Grounds are left fallow not necessarily because they are not fertile or cannot be put to some other uses but because of reasons which include; 1.    Availability of other fertile lands. This is when a person relegates a potential or ability to the background because he has other potentials he thinks have better prospects. For instance a person might neglect a singing potential because he can also play football. 2.    Ignorance of the presence of a potential. When a potential is not known to exist, it will sure be ignored. For ins

YOUR CHILDREN: A BLESSING

“Lo children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward” – Psalm 127:3 Here am I, and the children the LORD has given. We are for signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion – Isaiah 8:18 Child conception and birth is one of the greatest mysteries of life. A mystery that man has not fully understood. The Scripture above says, “children are an heritage of the LORD…” That means that it is God that gives children. It is not by human effort. This explains why some couples don’t have them even when medical experts have declared them fertile.   God who in His grace and mercies gave you those children places so much premium on them and that was why when the disciples tried to rebuke them from coming to Jesus, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” - Matthew 19:14. We see people today who don’t want little children to come near them maybe because she look

SECRETS OF GOOD SUCCESS

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.   This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success – Joshua 1:7-8 The above scripture is an express and direct statement to Joshua by God. A statement that reveals God’s ultimate and true secret for prosperity and good success. That secret is studying and doing what the Word of God says. It is obvious that not all the successes people get are good successes. When one succeeds by cheating, stealing or through any unlawful and ungodly scheme, he can’t be said to have good success. Good successes are successes that come by godly and

GLORIOUS GENERATION

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light - 1Peter. 2:9     It is written that because you and I have given our lives to Christ, we are a chosen generation … Chosen for what? We have been chosen to excel and display the glory of our heavenly Father here on earth. The scriptures has it that, “ Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” – Daniel. 6:3. Just as the spirit of God qualified Daniel for excellence, the Holy Spirit in you also qualifies you to excel greatly. That is the only way God’s glory in your life can be seen by men It is God’s desire that believers should be gloriously exceptional in everything they do and that is why 3 John 2 has it that the desire of heaven is that “you prosper and be in health
